Rock Monster is a henchman of Skullmaster who first appeared in Mighty Max Trapped in Skull Mountain. He was, as his name implies, a creature made entirely of stone. He was capable of camouflaging himself by blending in with the rocks inside of Skull Mountain. He and Warmonger tried to stop Max from defeating their master, but were unable to stop him.
He was also the basis for the Shrunken Head Rock Monster.
In the TV Series, Rock Monster isn't an individual but an entire race of intelligent rock monsters serving Skullmaster.
